Flora in The Chocó

The forests of the Chocó are famous for their biodiversity. There are more than 9,000 species of vascular plants, with around 25% endemic to this area that cannot be found anywhere else on Earth.

Within the Ecuadorian Chocó there are approximately 6,000 vascular species of plants, between 13-25%, which are endemic to the area.
